muskrat jamboree inuvik
Join residents of the Mackenzie Delta as they celebrate spring each year between March and April. Eat, play, dance and celebrate the change in season after a long arctic winter. The Muskrat Jamboree is a four-day community celebration that is older than the town of Inuvik itself.
Snowking Winter Festival
The month-long Snowking Winter Festival is a celebration in Yellowknife to showcase community spirit, collaboration and innovation in the arts. Programming includes entertainment for young and old all month long. Where else can you dance the night away in a castle made entirely of snow and ice in the middle of a frozen lake?

As the sun sets for the last time in December each year, residents of the Western Arctic prepare for nearly 30 days of darkness. Celebrations of the sun’s return at the Inuvik Sunrise Festival include local food, dance, music and winter activities such as snow carving, sunset yoga and “sno-pitch”.
